Sussex Expansion Information Interactive Touch Screen App
I developed this application for the Sussex YMCA for the lead up to their building expansion ground breaking ceremony. 3 Touch screen monitors along with miniPCs running Android OS were sourced and installed for this project. This application was developed in two stages, the primary container application and a website that had container frames for Y social media. It  was created in Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe MUSE to create an html file that was then wrapped in an apk wrapper, that allowed it to run on android.

There were key goals and restrictions that needed to be adhered to when gathering hardware and developing the app:

1. The app needed to have access to the internet and be able to be updated in real-time and kept synchronized with the web version.
2. It should cause as little hinderance to the Sussex staff as possible.
3. No one but the staff should be able to exit the app and use it for any other purpose.
4. It needed to be simple, intuitive, and informative to our guests.

The Android OS miniPCs had ethernet connections run to them allowing us access online. They only thing we needed the staff to do to ensure the update was for them to restart the app, which we taught them how to do.
To make sure only staff could have access, we made sure there was no exit points during development, and that the only way to exit was with the wireless keyboards that the staff had available.
The layout was kept simple and tested among a wide demographic of users before deployment.
The reception was good and we received positive comments from our guests.
